No two teams are the same. You have your own history, your own culture, your own fault lines, and a generic team-building day won't fix any of it. That's why every Teaming engagement with Performance Consulting Services starts from scratch.

We take the time to understand where your team is, where you want it to go, and what's getting in the way. Then we design something built specifically for you, drawing on proven frameworks, hands-on facilitation, and 17 years of real-world leadership experience.

The result isn't a one-size-fits-all workshop. It's a targeted experience that addresses your team's actual dynamics around leadership, communication, trust, and accountability in a format that fits your schedule and your goals.

Teaming

The art and science of building, developing, and maintaining high-performance teams.

How It Works

Every engagement begins with a complimentary discovery consultation. We sit down (or connect virtually) to learn about your team's makeup, recent history, current challenges, and what success looks like for you. No pitch. No package. Just a real conversation.

From there, we design your custom solution. Depending on what your team needs, that might look like:

  • A half-day session focused on one key issue like improving how the team communicates under pressure or rebuilding trust after a difficult stretch

  • A full-day workshop that takes a deeper dive into team dynamics, leadership styles, and how to work better together

  • A multi-session series that builds skills and shifts culture over time, with structured follow-through between sessions

  • Ongoing team coaching that keeps your team growing long after the initial workshop, reinforcing new habits and addressing challenges as they arise

Most clients find that lasting change requires more than a single event. We'll be honest with you about what we think will actually move the needle — and we'll meet you where you are.

What We Explore Together

While every workshop is different, most Teaming engagements dig into some combination of these areas:

Leadership & Team Dynamics

How does leadership show up on your team and how does the team respond? We examine the patterns, expectations, and behaviors that shape how your team operates day to day, and help leaders and team members alike understand their role in building a high-performance culture.

Communication & Working Styles

People are wired differently. Those differences can either create friction or fuel collaboration. We help teams understand how each person communicates, processes information, and responds to conflict, so they can work with each other's strengths instead of around them.

Trust & Psychological Safety

Great teams are built on trust. We create space for honest conversation about what's working, what isn't, and what people need from one another, laying the foundation for real accountability and genuine collaboration.

Accountability & Follow-Through

It's one thing to agree on expectations. It's another to hold each other to them. We help teams build the habits and structures that make accountability feel natural rather than punitive and sustainable rather than short-lived.

Tools & Frameworks We May Use

Depending on what your team needs, we may incorporate research-backed assessments and frameworks to deepen self-awareness and shared understanding. As a certified practitioner, Emily is trained in:

  • Everything DiSC® — behavioral assessment tools that help individuals and teams understand communication styles, adapt to one another, and reduce unnecessary friction

  • The Five Behaviors® — based on Patrick Lencioni's model for team cohesion, focusing on trust, healthy conflict, commitment, accountability, and results

These tools are powerful but they're never the starting point. We'll recommend them when they're the right fit, not because they're on a checklist.

"The assessments gave us language we didn’t have before. We finally understood why we were getting stuck and what to do about it."

LeadershipTeams reflect their leaders. The best workshop in the world won't stick if the people at the top aren't modeling the behaviors they're asking for. That's why we strongly recommend pairing Teaming work with our Leadership Workshops or Executive Coaching so the whole system grows together.
